From Prototype to Progress: A Quick Recap of Our Journey

Back in May 2025, we officially kicked off testing for Desqk—our all-in-one platform designed to help freelancers connect, collaborate, and grow their businesses with ease. We invited our first Early Adopter Group 1 to join us in shaping the future of Desqk.

That initial test group gave us exactly what we needed: real feedback from real freelancers working across creative, digital, and technical industries. We weren’t just testing features—we were listening, learning, and iterating in real time.

What We Learned From Early Adopter Group 1

The feedback was clear, constructive, and incredibly valuable. Here's what we discovered:

• 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Community matters. Users wanted more ways to connect with each other—whether through shared topics, profiles, or discovery tools.

• ⚡ Speed is everything. Our load times needed to be faster, especially on mobile.

• 🛠️ The small stuff counts. We heard dozens of great micro-tweaks: UX refinements, clearer prompts, and more intuitive navigation. These all made it into our Change Log and are now live.

Thanks to our first group of early adopters, we walked away with a clear vision of what Desqk needed to become: not just a tool, but a digital home base for freelancers.

Early Adopter Group 2 Launches in October 2025

We’re officially closing the chapter on Group 1, and we’re getting ready to open the doors again in early October for Early Adopter Group 2.

Here’s what you can expect this time around:

This has been our biggest focus all summer—and we’re excited to announce it will be fully live for our October rollout. The Community Section is designed to help freelancers build social capital, find like-minded peers, and grow together.

New features include:

• 🧾 Upload your portfolio pieces directly to your profile

• ➕ Follow other freelancers whose work inspires you

• 🧠 Follow topics that match your skill set, goals, or curiosity

• 🔍 Discover new collaborators through shared projects or interests

It’s not just about showing your work—it’s about finding your people.
