The future of freelancing is here. On May 1st, 2025, we officially went live with our first Early Adopter Group, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.
In just a short time, more than 1,000 freelancers signed up to be part of Desqk’s journey. From designers and developers to writers and strategists, our early adopters are diverse, ambitious, and ready to help shape the future of collaboration.
But here’s the really big news: we’ll be opening up access to the first 100 freelancers for beta testing — the group that will set the tone for everything that comes next.
Why Early Adopters Matter
Freelancers know better than anyone that tools only work if they’re built around real needs. That’s why our Early Adopter Program isn’t just about getting access first; it’s about co-creating Desqk.
Our first testers will:
Use the platform to manage projects, clients, and time
Upload their portfolio pieces and showcase work
Follow other freelancers and build their networks
Share feedback directly with our team to shape future updates
This feedback loop is critical. We’re not just launching a platform — we’re building a freelancer community designed by freelancers, for freelancers.
What We’ve Learned Already
Even before the official launch, we’ve been in conversations with freelancers who told us what they really need from a platform like Desqk:
Speed & performance. A tool that loads fast, so workflow never gets interrupted.
Community. The ability to follow people, topics, and projects — making freelancing less isolating.
Simplicity. Features that help you collaborate without the clutter of tools designed for huge corporate teams.
These insights have already influenced our product roadmap. Every update we make — from improved load times to expanding community tools — comes directly from freelancer feedback.
What’s Next: Beta Testing Begins
On May 1st, we begin the next chapter: beta testing with the first 100 freelancers.
This group will be the first to fully explore Desqk’s core features:
Project dashboards that make it easy to manage multiple clients at once
Portfolio uploads that showcase your best work in one place
Community features like following users and topics, so you’re always connected to the conversations that matter most
Time tracking and calendar tools to streamline how you work day-to-day
For us, this beta test isn’t just a milestone — it’s the heartbeat of Desqk. These first 100 users will help us refine, improve, and evolve the platform before we expand access to larger groups later this year.
Join the Movement
If you didn’t make it into the first 100, don’t worry — there will be more opportunities to join. By signing up as an early adopter, you’ll be first in line as new groups open.
Desqk isn’t just another freelancing tool. It’s a place to collaborate, connect, and grow your business while building real social capital. And with the help of our early adopters, we’re making that vision a reality.
The future of freelancing doesn’t just happen. We build it together.
